Category A Hydrographic Surveying
Undergraduate
The shortest time interval that the Programme can be completed in, without any prior education in the field, is four years. This is due to the prerequisite requirements for a number of the papers. Whilst there are a number of ways in which this can be achieved, the simplest example is a three year Bachelor of Science, followed by a one year Post Graduate Diploma of Science.
It is also possible to complete the majority of the required papers as part of the four year Bachelor of Surveying Program, with the remainder of the papers completed in a fifth year Post Graduate Diploma of Science. This would enable the graduate to potentially become accredited as both a Land Surveyor and a Hydrographic Surveyor.
