Chris originates from Liverpool UK, he initially trained in the Royal Navy as a radio and radar electronics specialist thereafter moving into supporting military, commercial and industrial computing systems. He has worked as an independent IT consultant, providing expertise to the mining, manufacturing, commercial and education sectors. He joined the Survey department in October 2009. His roll is to manage and ensure reliable operation of the survey schools computer systems. He is passionate about Linux and an advocate for the Open Source Software movement.
