Profile
Jim obtained a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Cook College, Rutgers University, NJ. He then went on to become licensed as a Virginia Land Surveyor. Over a 10 year work period in a multi state area surrounding Virginia he performed a variety of survey work including boundary surveying, engineering and construction setout, photo control surveys, GPS surveys, and highway route design and location surveys. He moved to NZ in 1995 and completed a Bachelor of Surveying with Distinction in 1997 and then worked for a small surveying company in Christchurch and became registered as a NZ surveyor in 2001. Shortly afterwards he joined the School of Surveying staff.
