Currently employed as a Technical Officer, he enjoys his multi-facetted work at this world-class institution. Balancing the needs and demands of university students and staff alike, requires both skill and dexterity. Whether it's ensuring practical exercises meet specific learning out-comes to the highest standard or trouble-shooting wireless data-flow in remote inhospitable environments, as part of research support, are all part of this team-focused position. Liaising with industry and stake-holders ensures the School of Surveying remains at the leading edge of research and technology. If decent coffee is available, you can always expect Mike to provide willing hands and a sympathetic ear.
