SURV307 Cadastral Surveying 2
An introduction to, and the development of, the concepts of cadastral boundary definition in New Zealand, building on precepts given in SURV207. In addition, familiarity will be gained with the range of different cadastral datasets dependant on the relevant legislation. Grounding will be given in the methodology of cadastral surveys such that students should be competent to conduct a straightforward land transfer survey from initial data searching to lodgement of a cadastral dataset.
Cource Objectives
- To provide a strong foundation of how to conduct a typical land transfer survey, from searching existing records to producing a Cadastral Survey Dataset (CSD) in Landonline.
- To provide knowledge and understanding of a wide range of CSD, and a thorough grounding in the principles of definition for cadastral surveys.
